After each member posts in the forum on the right hand side of the screen under their message there is a button that says quote.
Or if you're typing a messages- above the message box there is another button that says quote and you can type your message within the quote boxes that come up.
I hope I haven't confused you.

Above I have quoted your message by pressing the "quote" button in the bottom right - but below I have edited it slightly by putting an extra space in before the 'q' so you can see how it looks:

So can you not pick, say, one sentence out of a message to quote on it's own?
Forgive me if I am being thick!!!

Best thing is to initially quote the while thing and then delete the bits you don't want - like thi:

You just have to delete the bits you don't want after having hit the quote button. Just make sure you leave the / quote markers at beginning and end. Use preview if you aren't sure you got it right

Think I get it now!!Reading Mum wrote: Use preview if you aren't sure you got it right
Thanks

I just copy the bits I want, click on it, select all and then click on the quote button just above where you are typing. If I want to quote the whole thing it's the button at the bootom of the post and you get the name too then (I only discovered this recently )

Not very IT-minded, so I don't get the above instructions about click and select all? But think this way works.......ie using the Quote buttonscary mum wrote:I just copy the bits I want, click on it, select all and then click on the quote button just above where you are typing.
