berkshire reading boys school waiting list 2012

Hi,I received my ds result this morning and he has been ranked 116th at Reading Boys School can someone explain to me what this means? as I thought this meant that he will definitely not get a place and i'm a little confused

Hi that sounds hopeful. He must surely be on the waiting list with that score? Allthough there are only 100 day places, some of the top 100 boys might have had other schools as their first choice. So your DS may not be 16th on the waiting list, he might be much higher. My son's friend got in a few years ago from the waiting list and his rank was 118. Try calling the school to get his waiting list position.

It's up to you, but I wouldn't wait. Why not call and find out Monday am. They are very helpful at Reading and I'm sure they will be happy to tell you both where your son is on waiting list as well as how many places the list has moved historically.
