CRGS anyone else going?

Post by pip22 »

My son is the only one going to CRGS from his school and is a little nervous! Is anyone else going from Chelmsford? :D

My son is currently in yr 7 and was the only boy from his school to go to CRGS.

It was the best thing for him as he had no choice but to make friends, instead of hanging around with an old face. He now has loads of mates and loving it.

These DS's are far more resilient than we give them credit for.

Congratulations to you and your son.......He will love it!!!!

Thanks for that! I think you are right and he's a pretty sociable boy, do the school do some induction/meet ups before they start?

There is usually a full school day induction (with the boys in their classes for next year) at the end of June / beginning of July. The boys have some sample lessons along with sport and a dip in the pool! They are also encouraged to try the canteen food!

Being the only boy from a primary seems more common than having a school mate, and boys from the same primary are often put in different classes anyway so he will not be alone in knowing no-one.
