I have just received these from a very efficient lady at KCC. I have put the October 2011 scores to the right of the 2010. Hope they are useful to people

To achieve 140:

Aged 11 years would need the following raw scores

2010 2011

VR: 63 out of 80 questions - 79% 62/80 - 79%
NVR: 50 out of 72 questions – 69% 53/72 - 74%
Maths: 40 out of 50 questions - 80% 39/50 - 78%

Aged 10years 6 months the required score is:

VR: 61 out of 80 questions - 76% 60/80 - 75%
NVR: 49 out of 72 questions – 68% 52/72 - 72%
Maths: 39 out of 50 questions - 78% 38/50 - 76%

Aged 10years the required score is:

VR: 58 out of 80 questions - 73% 58/80 - 73%
NVR: 48 out of 72 questions – 67% 50/72 - 69%
Maths: 38 out of 50 questions - 76% 36/50 - 72%



To achieve 120:

Aged 11 years would need to achieve the following raw scores

2010 2011
VR: 42 out of 80 questions - 53% 42/80 - 53%
NVR: 38 out of 72 questions – 53% 39/72 - 54%
Maths: 27 out of 50 questions - 54% 25/50 - 50%

Aged 10years 6 months the required score is:

VR: 39 out of 80 questions - 49% 40/80 - 50%
NVR: 37 out of 72 questions – 51% 37/72 - 51%
Maths: 26 out of 50 questions - 52% 24/50 - 48%

Aged 10years the required score is:

VR: 36 out of 80 questions - 45% 38/80 - 48%/b]
NVR: 35 out of 72 questions – 49% 36/72 - 50%
Maths: 24 out of 50 questions - 48% 22/50 - 44%

Very interesting, thankyou for requesting that info.

My son said that the maths paper was hard, and it would appear he was right, less questions needed to be answered correctly this year to score 140 than last.

It's interesting to note that the scores are so similar for both years.

Apparently there is a similar number of top scores this year as last year too. They are just concentrated towards N & W Kent.
