Movement in KE waiting lists..
Hi
Does anyone have any idea when parents are likely to find out if any places have come up? I would have assumed that things would be clearer after the 16th March acceptance deadline with Birmingham LEA, but the KE office have said 'Call back after a month'?!!!
I feel as if I keep bugging the nice ladies in the office. Any ideas anyone?!

Sandwell (and KE Handsworth) have given us until 30th March to respond...
Re: Movement in KE waiting lists..
Thanks Turtlegirl . That's probably why the lady said a month. By then offers should be finalised

We're going for KE Handsworth - on the grounds of distance, a school friend going there, the impressive new Head (currently deputy) and the excellence of the science teaching.

I don't know how the movement of places works, but is there the possibility that if someone had KEFW as first choice, but was offered Aston as a second choice, they could get the KEFW place instead, thus freeing up Aston? Does movement at any one school have a knock on effect on others? This is assuming no offers over PAN were made.
Re: Movement in KE waiting lists..
Moseleymum, I think they have all over offered.. Apparently last year there was no movement on the waiting list for Aston. However, KE have said it's different every year so we are just waiting and hoping!
You are right though, someone who has been offered Aston can still be on FW waiting list, so if they go there, that should have a knock on effect *keep moving peeps*

Re: Movement in KE waiting lists..
Reeyah, there was movement on the waiting list for Aston last year. We know of a boy who began y7 at our local comprehensive school. The following week, clad in a KEA suit, he joined ds2 & others on the Green bus.
Seems to be a "knock on effect" between the ke schools as there was a boy in ds1's year, who moved to KES from KECHB. His place was filled by a boy who initially started at Aston.
