Non Catchment Grammar Schools

Post by MumofTwoSD »

Hi,

I heard that some of the schools in Barnet such as HBS, QE Boys, QE Girls - do not have any geographical catchment constraint.

Is there any exhaustive list of such schools around the country? Or is there any such school in Buckinghamshire?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

All Buckinhamshire grammar schools have catchments, but some (particularly at the edges of the county) often take all who qualify and apply, often in later rounds of allocation.

we did have thread on all the non catchment schools once ... Herman starts digging frantically and will be back when she finds something.

Edit: can't find it and have to go and sort out flat tyre.

All the Bucks GS have catchments but you can apply to any of them. Of course you may not get a place on distance grounds.
