Goodbye from Admissionslady

Post by admissionslady »

I'm off to pastures new at the end of this term, so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the hospitality of this Forum.

The recruitment ad. will appear in the local paper tomorrow, and one of my colleagues will be minding the shop for an hour or two a day until a new admissionslady (or man) is appointed. Perhaps one of you will be interested? I shall certainly recommend to my successor that they join the conversation on here from time to time as I have done - it's an excellent way to understand the concerns of parents.

I've had a wonderful time at Sutton Grammar, and will miss it terribly. I've been here for over 11 years - nearly 4 of those as Registrar. My son attended the school (he's in his second year at university now), so I understand SGS from a parent's perspective too - and I couldn't have been happier with the education my son received here.

But when opportunity knocks.......

I am very excited about taking up my new role at Graveney. See you on the partially selective area of the site?

Do feel free to ask me anything you like before I go.

We all wish you a very happy and successful future - good health with wealth. I am sure every one would agree that it is always a privilage to interact with you. All the best.

Your words of advise would always be most useful to the parents and others alike.

I second everything tiffinboys has said.

Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions and good luck at Graveney.

I for one would be overjoyed if my DS were lucky enough to get a place at SGS next year :D

You were the first person I talked to when the school offered my son a place in the sixth form. You could not have been more helpful and I wish you all the very best in your new position.
