Anybody declined Sir Thomas Rich?
Has anyone heard of any boys declining their offered place at STR??? We're on the waiting list for the 2nd april re-allocations.
Re: Anybody declined Sir Thomas Rich?
I haven't heard Ozziemum. Do you mind me asking if your situation means not all passes were offered a place at Tommies then? I was wondering whether passing meant a place for all the Gloucester grammars this year? I hope it works out for you on 2nd.

I know of one child who has declined their place.

Hi Mum223. Yes not all who passed the test were offered places this year. I think quite a few got the same score of 210 and so it was decided by distance etc.

Thanks for replying Ozziemum. What a shame, I was hoping it was pass/place. It must be horrid to pass the test and miss out by distance etc. I think I remember reading about it being names in a hat once Hopefully things will still shake down and there will be places. Fingers crossed.

Thanks. Not long to wait now for re-allocations. Will let you know when I hear.

Hope it works out well for you.

Hi everyone. Just heard today that we have a place at Tommies. It's been a very stressful wait, especially as the post arrived today with no letters - 2 hrs later our neighbour delivered them. Thank goodness they were home today.
So, I'm guessing that all boys who got 210 this year now have places, as we must be the furthest by distance from the school, which was the deciding factor for all boys getting the same score . Wonder if there are even unfilled places!
