Re: Help needed please with Type-K
18/9= 2+18 =20
4/2 = 2+4=6
18/3=6+18 =24
4/2 = 2+4=6
18/3=6+18 =24

Sorry some one else will have to work that one out - it is beyond me. I would possibly suggest my DS guessed this one and came back to it if time allowed rather than waste too much time on it

Me too. If the answer was 85 I would have an explanation
Re: Help needed please with Type-K
I also think answer should be 85

Hi Reading mum & Shipra,
Thanks for the swift response.
This question is from IPS book practice paper C question no 21 and the answer is 95. I am not sure if it is a mistake in the practice paper. I am getting 85 as the answer for last two sets apart from the first one.
Thanks for your help.

You have mis-read/mis-typed the question. It reads as follows:amandee wrote:This question is from IPS book practice paper C question no 21 and the answer is 95. I am not sure if it is a mistake in the practice paper.
(48 .. [90] .. 37)
(38 .. [88] .. 45)
(35 .. [ ? ] .. 55)
It is therefore add both the outside numbers together, then add 5, and the answer is 95.
My copy of the book is dated 2003, but was bought a couple of years ago, and I am not aware that it has ever changed on re-printing.
