Proud proud mum!
Can I share a proud mum moment? My eldest DD has had a very hard year.....some very nasty cyber bullying and actual bullying and dealing with a suicide in the family ( as some of you on this forum will already know). My DH was very ill, and I lost my job. She hasn't let any of this get her down and has kept on being herself and doing her thing! She's been to new York to speak at UN and been chosen to join a committee for Equalities Minister.
And today - She has just called me to say that her team have just won the finals of the European Youth Parliament and they will be representing UK in Amsterdam in November! So so proud!
Not bad stuff for her personal statement for uni either!
Sorry to sound as if going over the top, but if you'd seen her have the year she has had ( and us too really), you'd understand!

That would have been a phenomenal achievement without the difficulties she's faced. I'd be über proud!

Thank you all. She's home now, tired and grumpy and so so proud of herself!

How Fantastic. Sounds very well deserved!

Yeah, really, really good.
A proud moment and a half I'd say.
Well done to your DD, a brilliant achievement!
