Hi all,
I decided to leave a short note just in case someone need it someday. We received the letter from Watford grammar for girls, offering the place for our daughter. She was 17th on academic list(outer area) on March 01st, by the end of March she was third. We withdrew her place acceptance at Chesham grammar school so good luck to someone who will take it:) And good luck to all who's still waiting.

A friends DD got offered a place last week, she was 4th on the inner list originally so very little movement this year. Good luck to all others still waiting!

Wow, only 4 girls out of 25 on the inner list gave up their places! V low - may reflect the recession, and probably helped by the news of return to cross-sibling policy, as now parents with girls and boys need only put one child through the exam stress, thus putting it on a par with Parmiters and DAO for convenience.

Plus of course the best results of all the Herts semi-selective schools at GSCEs and A Level.

Shame for those lower down the list, of course. I know last year it moved much further. Good luck to all those waiting.

Great news Dreams, you must be thrilled. It gives great hope to others reading about this. Next year on allocation day anxious parents will be browsing trying to find news about the waiting lists and how far they go down and will be pleased to read about your place. Somebody will be delighted to get your place at Chesham Grammar so good news all round. DG
