Rules in Newstead.

Post by ruthyy12 »

I just want to know if Newstead allows make up, dying of hair, or face piercing and things to do with appearance.
All comments welcomed.

This is because I dont want my child to go to a school that allows those stuff. It shows the children only concentrates only on beauty.

Oh dear - most schools allow make-up if carefully applied.

Why don't you check the website?

Newstead behaviour

Post by ruthyy12 »

I have been online trying to find out the behavior of children in newstead, so far some mums have said there is a lot of favoritism and bullying between the girls and also the pastoral care is poor. Is this true? If you have any experience of this please let me know. Good or bad.

From the website:

Make up and nail varnish Discreet and appropriate for a formal environment
Jewellery and hair accessories Discreet and appropriate for a formal environment
No facial piercings except a discreet nose piercing

In my experience any case of bullying (nothing very serious) was dealt with immediately and effectively.

Instead, I'd like my child to go to a school where the staff spend all their time checking for hints of mascara, rather than teaching.

How about asking about this during an Open Evening/Day?
