What happens at each test centre?

Post by whatwillbe1 »

Please let me know how each test centre runs their day for Boys grammar.
I.e. Alphabetic morning/ afternoon, classrooms used instead of hall...?
Any advice to help choose test centre gratefully received.

DS sat his exam at CRGS and it was very well organised. I know of boys from each end of the alphabet who were allocated morning sittings, so I don't think they allocate time slots on that basis. I think they are ordered alphabetically in the hall within each sitting. I'm not sure if other classes were used. Parking was fine for the morning sitting.

I agree, I think CRGS session allocation is random, there doesn't seem to be any alphabetical logic and we were a fairly late application who was allocated the morning session, whereas a friend who applied the day applications opened got the afternoon! Children from the same primaries had different sittings as well.

CRGS do use classrooms as well as the hall as my DS was in a classroom. It probably depends on the number of applicants.

Personally I would choose the school easiest to travel to - one less thing to worry about!

Thank you both for your replies.
Does anyone know about Kegs or Westcliffe?

They are the closer ones- not sure I want DS with people he knows on test day!
