Appeal over the summer?
We have just returned from abroad to Bucks and our DS took and failed his 11+ before the 31 July deadline for entry in Sept 2012. I have looked at the appeals booklet, but there is no reference to whether the process is available over the summer holidays. I have some other questions which I am putting in an email. Many thanks indeed.
Re: Appeal over the summer?
There is no requirement for appeals to be held in the holidays, and in most authorities a late appeal at this point in time is likely to be held over until September/October.

With the score you've mentioned, I'd be less than honest if I didn't say that the chances of success are not high - but appeals are unpredictable, and one can never be sure of the outcome.
Your particular circumstances would certainly be taken into account - but, to stand any chance, the focus really needs to be on evidence of very high ability, even if this is limited to Maths/Science/NVR. The more evidence - the better!
