Can older children get full marks in the Bucks yest?

Post by Concerned mum »

A headmaster recently told a school in Bucks that children with a September birthdate could not get 141 because of standardisation. Has anyone else heard this?

Why would anyone be worried about this when all children who pass are treated equally?

Another headteacher myth. I know children with Sept birthdays who achieved 141 - but as previous guest says, it doesn't really matter!

I'm from Kent, where the full mark is 140 per paper. I was told that as my son had an October birthday, he would be very unlikely to receive this mark. Well, he did on 2 of the 3 papers and so did many others. There are so many rumours out there but I now know it's entirely possible! Interestingly, his friend has an August birthday and they were only 1 point apart on total aggregate score.
