I am sure that these are really silly questions, but even google hasn't helped me this time

A right angle triangle will always have at least one side a different length, also a rectangle will have 2 sides of one length and 2 sides of another length. A square and equilateral triangle will have all sides the same and I suppose a parallelogram can too!bel wrote: Qu.38

Thanks hermanmaster, I could see that but why is it not also a rectangle which can't have 4 sides the same otherwise it would be a square?

I think rectangle is one of those that can't be the defined shape, along with a right angled triangle. the one that sits in the middle is the parallelogram.

To make a triangle the sum of the two shorter sides must exceed the length of the longest side - so 3cm,5cm,6cm is the only one which fulfils this requirement.Qu. 34
