How important is the creative writing?
My son is doing well so far - but his creative writing skills are non existent!
He gets frustrated, upset and teary when presented with a writing task and as he is a sensitive soul, I don't want to push it.
So my question is, I know he will not pass this part of the exam. How important do you think it is if he failed it dismally yet passed his maths and English exams? Or do children need to score highly in everything? His handwriting is also abysmal
It's upsetting him so much that I am tempted to pull out altogether if it is genuinely going to prevent him passing. It's not like he doesn't know how to do it, his spelling and grammar are spot on, he just can't seem to put his knowledge down on paper.

Which 11plus exam are you doing where? In Kent you have to write a story but it only gets looked at if you are borderline fail.

I'm in Devon and he's going for DHSB.
