Post by bitworried »

hi,
not sure if this is right place to post, so please feel free to move. dd got into her 1st choice wggs - totally worked at home, no tutor :)

we dont seem to be able to buy a bus pass anywhere - we have the id saver card but would like to buy a prepaid ticket/bus pass from croxley to wggs
the bus company hasnt returned emails, website purchase doesnt work, their phones ring out and we have tried 4 of the local "stockists" as advertised on website who dont sell them so far ..... :?

Not sure if this is any help but when my eldest started secondary 5 years ago I tried to get a pre paid pass but was unable to get one. Unless things have changed you can only use the saver card which gives you half price travel on each trip. Just beware even if your child is ovbiously under 16 they will charge full fare without the saver card. One thing to look forward to is that by 2016 the Met line will link up to Watford Hight street station very close to WGSG and young persons oyster cards are really cheap.

We practised the bus journey last week - the bus driver said that you can buy weekly tickets on the bus which works out less than paying daily.
