How does the Bright Sparks Pack 2 compare with Actual 11+
Dear All,
My DS has completed all Bright Sparks Pack 2 papers scoring between 87% and 95% (76/80). I just want to know how these papers compare to the Redbridge 11+ exam set by GL Assessments.
Any replies will be highly appreciated. Our Redbridge forum is extremely quiet.

Hello R125,
This is my first time preparing for the 11+ - but my DD has scored the same as your DS with BS series - however I really believe that the real thing will be significantly harder (only my opinion). I have a feeling that 90%+ is required for VR (and possibly between 85-90% for NVR) - to have a chance of passing the Redbridge test. It would be interesting to see what the VR/NVR scores of the 120th place were in 2011. Last year 800+ boys sat the test for 120 places - and there's only one school. I know lots of parents heading into Essex because there are more grammars. But here competiton is fierce and tutoring is extremely common, and many (but not all) parents don't like to talk about tutoring or the 11+ (even on the forum - as you have noticed!). Having said that this forum is full of wonderfully helpful people. Good luck for Monday.

WE NEED PAST PAPERS.......SIMPLE !!!
Re: How does the Bright Sparks Pack 2 compare with Actual 11
As frustrating as it may sound, past papers are just not available.
If they were then life would be a lot less stressful.
Unfortunately, there will always be a cloak of mystery to the 11+!
