Are the papers marked at the test site?

Are the papers marked at the test site?
and the marks then sent to NFER or whoever sets the papers or are the papers themselves sent? just wondering this if anyone knows

In Lincs, I think they are marked at the school.
You can certainly make an appointment to view their papers once the results are out.

How very civilised! I have not heard of that before. Is it clear on the papers where the marks have been allocated or not as the case might be? DG

Having met a lady who relatively recently used to mark the Lincolnshire tests, I also know that they are double marked. If there was any doubt over question (I presume where there had been lots of crossing out etc) this was highlighted particularly for the second marker to double double check. It all sounded very reassuring to me.

It would also depend whether the papers were standard format or multiple choice. The multiple choice papers are read by computer
