Eleven plus invigilator and markers
Hi
Can someone tell me who invigilates and marks the eleven plus and whether you can apply to do either of these jobs?
Many thanks

Re: Eleven plus invigilator and markers
North Yorks advertised a few years ago for invigilators ... I applied as had done invigilating before, but in the end couldn't get to the training sessions so didn't take the application any further. Haven't seen any adverts recently - presume they have a back of people. DD recognises a lady locally who invigilated - think she is a retired teacher

They did advertise again this year Hermann, you must have missed it
It's something I've fancided doing, but I'm too tied unfortunately
Keep a look out in your local job centre (about June/July time I think ours were advertised) and also on your County Council website where they advertise jobs.

I think that in Kent schools (in county) swap headteachers who then invigilate at the other school.

Sounds sensible - I seem to remember that North Yorks required training / another CRB (despite already got one) - thinking about it the advert was brought to my attention via the parents' association
