Hi I have sent some info to the drop box. Would value you opinion as to whether an appeal is worth trying.

Very difficult to say! Only the panel hearing your appeal will really know.
Appeals can be unpredictable. Moreover, all sorts of factors might affect the outcome, some of which could be completely outside your control.

The usual advice is - if you're undecided, keep your options open and appeal .......

Yes.

The question could indeed be asked: "Why wasn't this done sooner?" - but I suspect the clue is in the school's response. (It's easy for bright children to be seen as a lesser priority, and for the focus to be on those who are obviously struggling.)

Thanks Etienne - I will get the assessment sorted and then if we get a diagnosis we will have a clearer idea of a way forward.
