Appeals can be unpredictable. Moreover, all sorts of factors might affect the outcome, some of which could be completely outside your control.

Very difficult to say! Only the panel hearing your appeal will really know.Would value you opinion as to whether an appeal is worth trying.

Yes.could this be used as mitigating circumstances .....
The question could indeed be asked: "Why wasn't this done sooner?" - but I suspect the clue is in the school's response. (It's easy for bright children to be seen as a lesser priority, and for the focus to be on those who are obviously struggling.)

Thanks Etienne - I will get the assessment sorted and then if we get a diagnosis we will have a clearer idea of a way forward.
