Thank you - and famous 11+ non qualifiers....
In this calm before the storm (or is this the storm before the calm) I just wanted to say a massive thank you to those who run and contribute to this forum. You do a fantastic job. Pass or fail I know my dc has had a fair shot at this exam, thanks largely to you all.
Also wanted to say that I have stumbled upon some interesting 11+ 'non qualifiers'. They appear to include Paul Merton, Alan Sugar, Colin Firth, Nigella Lawson, Michael Morpurgo, Polly Toynbee (who went on to Oxford), Bernard Ingham, John Prescott and Anne Widdecombe. Ok some of these may not represent our dreams for our kids (!?) but it does show that there is absolutely nothing you cannot achieve, academically or otherwise, just because you don't qualify. It's our job to make sure our kids realise this!
