Can I appeal for two different Grammar Schools in Sutton?

Post by Yikes!! »

Hello

My DS passed Sutton Grammar- Stage One, hasn't passed Wallington Boys-no marks given and failed Wilsons pass mark by one.

Can I appeal for both schools?
I am planning on putting my CAF choices as:
1. Sutton
2. Wilsons
3. Wallington, or do I need to put the ones that I would like to appeal first?

Really confused.

Thanks

put the one you want to go to first - ie Sutton if that is what you want. Yes you can apply to more than one school but presumably you will only be appealing if you do not get any of these 3?

Thank you for your reply.
Our first choice is actually Wilsons. My older son is there and the school has a specialism in maths. My younger son - who failed Wilsons was actually a level 6 in year 5.
I was only going to put Sutton first as I thought if we were unsuccessful with our Wilsons appeal he may have a chance at Sutton.

Thanks v much

As Herman says, you can have more than one appeal.

You will be entitled to appeal for any school for which you've applied and been refused.

Be sure to read the Q&As. For example:
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/appeal ... cation#b11" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/appeal ... -school#c2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Please ask if you need any help. :)

Hello

Ok so the way I understand it is that I'm appealing under not qualifying and oversubscription in one appeal. Even if my son achieved the extra mark he may still not have got a place as it's heavily oversubscribed.
Is that right?

Yes - at the time of the appeal it seems unlikely there will be any spare places.
