Ripon 2012 - pass mark?

Post by andy from embsay »

Very quiet here now the results are in, but does anyone who sat Ripon know what the pass mark was? Interested as the Skipton mark was so much lower than usual.

Thanks!

Haven't heard Andy - used to be on the results paper for all the schools - maybe it is still on the Ermysted's results??

Ripon wasn't on SGHS results 2 years ago, so can't imagine it is now.

Just wondered if we had any Ripon parents who have a letter...

Haven't heard of any and don't think snowy had either. Presumably there aren't any who might want to appeal who have googled us yet!

Think it might be quite an odd year at the 2 Skipton GS - do get them from time to time.

Lower than ever passmark at the boys and possibly over 28% IC for the girls (might not be but from what you were saying about the numbers I suspect that there will be more than 40 IC girls in the year).

There was nothing about Ripon on the boys results.

thanks Fluffy - now sounds like they stopped that a few years back - probably because for some reason, the QS for Ripon was always lower despite it being the same exam and taking the passmark at 28% of the in catchment kids

No, I've still got no further with my mole (dd) asking round either.

I wonder if someone were to ring the Area Education Office if they'd tell them what the pass mark was?

Just rung them and asked what the Ripon cut off was - 213. So it looks like it was those pesky girls forcing the Skipton mark higher all along...

Interesting, eh?

So it's not only something in the Skipton water - it's something in the Skipton water that only girls drink... :)
