ks2 sats results and failing secondary school

Post by dippydo »

We do not live in a catchment area for grammer school
in the key stage 2 sats my son achieved 5a math scored 100%. 5a science scored 100%. his english paper is being re marked he scored 5b comprehension, and off hand i can't remember what I was told he scored the the written paper but overall scored a 4a and was one mark from achieving a level 5. He has achieved very well and we were very pleased with the results they were unexpected because although he always achieves and tries his best my husband had been seriously ill. My worry is we live in a very deprived area and we have not received our preference of school. we have been allocated a place at the lowest performing school in the borough. They have a G+T programme but I have been told that my son won't be on it as they didn't score high enough on the English paper as they only take English and Maths into consideration. They only have 2% of the whole school on G&T. If a paper is being re marked does anyone have any idea when the marks
are returned and how do I get them. (sorry post was so long)
