Am hoping my dd gets into Startford next year, we plan for her to go on the train from Shirley ( approx 10 minute walk from Stratford station to SGGS )

Oh ok, but don't you think they will be still young to go by train? Can't really decide unless they got company with them.

It's a catch 22 isn't it, we have the same mis-givings.

The older sister of one of her friends has done the journey for the past 6 years without problems, I assume that a few children have joined the journey by the time the train reaches Stratford.

Well she is sitting exam this year so in 2014 she will join the school hopefully.

Try posting your request on the Warwickshire board to see if anyone on there knows anything.

I believe there is a Johnsons bus that goes from Solihull station to Stratford college ( close to SGGS ) and also a bus that goes from Dorridge station direct ( but takes about an hour ), so am thinking train is the best option.
