Post 101

Post by StJamesDad »

Wishing everyone a great Christmas and New Year (especially those in the twilight zone).

There are so many annoying little things in life that I thought you might want to offload some ahead of the holiday period.
Feel free to put them in Post 101 if you do.
The more trivial and obscure the better.

People clapping themselves on game shows.

People asking "can I get a....." to someone in a shop who's job it is to get it for them!

Being told that a news report may have flash photography.

Neighbours who put their bins out on Saturday morning when the bin bus comes Monday afternoon!

People who spend ages in a que but only begin to consider what they want when its their turn to be served.

Cars (such as older Ford Focus and Volvo's) that have brake lights near the roof.

Foodstuff with the word 'Nut' or name of a nut in the title but still having a nut allergy warning on the packet.

People who park slap bang in the middle of a large gap/double space or not right on the end (up against the line) of a group of spaces.

Chrysler PT Cruiser's.

Perfume TV adverts.

People that didn't bother buying the optional indicators when they bought their car.
People who leave shopping trollies in the midfle of a parking space rather than take it a few yards to the trolley park.
People who ignore the TWO signs I have on my door saying no cold callers, then get upset when I slam the door in their face.
Foreign call centres.
Politicians.
I'll stop there for now

Teenage children who roll their eyes at me.

Everything else pales into insignificance after that.

People who say "haitch" instead of "aitch"
The moving belt at the supermarket that scrunches up all your shopping before you can pack it
Plastic packaging and twiddly wires on kids' toys
The message on all my apple stuff telling me I need to buy more storage... again
That long pause before announcing who has won/been eliminated on various tv shows

I'm going on holiday tomorrow (think I need it  ) but will be back

Christmas music in shops
Shop assistants asking 'are you all ready for Christmas then?'
In fact...Christmas

People who put their feet on the seats on trains

The increasing marginalisation of the elderly in our society. I will be one of them soon enough, and I am not ready to be sidelined just yet.

Celebrities.

British Telecom

Customer 'service' which makes you think you are living in the Soviet Union listening to news of the potato harvest. 'Your call is important to us' . 'Well b loody well answer it then!'. Usually followed by a text asking 'how likely are you to recommend us to your friends?'

Sorry, not in the best of humours tonight. Trying to change my mobile phone contract which is proving about as rewarding as a bout of d and v.

Actually, I'm with yoyo123.

Not apostrophes so much but poor spelling really annoys me. GrammAr. SepArAte. Not GrammEr and SepErate.
