Anyone know what % we're aiming for in Latymer Upper exams?

Post by loveyouradvice »

Hi ... I read somewhere - on this forum I think - that if you get 83 or 86% on two or more papers, you're safe for an interview.... approximately as it depends on candidates applying obviously!

Anyone any ideas?

My daughter - whose maths is her main strength - seems to be scoring about 76% in their Maths papers, although she gets 97% or so when doing Sats (ie high level 5A)

What do you think???? Love any advice and thoughts....

And yes, I know we can only do our best so will be focussed on this but guidance would be great.

IMO any child at level 5A and working towards level 6 is a very able mathematician and stands a very good chance of passing any indie exam!! :D
I finally got an answer from WGS addmission officer a scholarship candidate needs to be at least at level 6 and working toward levels 7 :o
hope this is helpful

Thanks, that is what I keep telling myself - though puzzled that she doesnt score more highly on the inde papers, unless of course they arent looking for such high percentages.

She's definitely predicted a level 6 at year end.

And gobsmacking that scholars are at 6/7 already! Though unsurprising - one boy in her class is already GCSE level at 10!!!
