How will we hear results?

Post by sbates »

Does anyone know how results of appeals are issued? A friend said an email is sent out. If so, time?

The official statement was that letters will be posted first class on Friday 8th.

The intention will be for them to catch the post on Friday and arrive on Saturday. Most do, but sadly there are often a few stragglers because of the Royal Mail.

Schools have no involvement in the 12+ process. It is arranged entirely between parents and BCC.

My mistake - reading too many threads at once!

The same applies - schools have no involvement in the process.

Actually schools should know the results on Friday according to a head I know. This is because in the past they were never formally informed of what results were so had to rely on parents telling them which didn't always happen.

I've just been reading Section 2 booklet 'The 11+ Results' and under the heading 'When will I know the outcome of the review', it does state the following:-

You will be told the outcome of your review in a letter posted on the 8 February 2013. At the same time, the headteachers of Buckinghamshire LA primary and Partner Schools will know the outcomes for children at their schools.

I know when we went to see the head after the results she had mentioned they don't get to know the appeal results, but looks like it as changed this year?

Now my stomach has flipped! Definately no eye contact on Friday with the head!
