Birthday present ideas for DH

Post by Tinkers »

It's DHs birthday in a couple of weeks. I've just asked him if he wants anything in particular, and he doesn't know.
He has, just this evening, taken delivery of a new DSLR camera (canon 5D I think, haven't got close enough yet)

Of course he bought extra memory cards and battery as well.

Anyone know of photo experience days or courses in Berkshire or nearby. He is a reasonably good photographer.
Or any other present ideas.

Not all

DH has no musical ability or any sense of rhythm. He can't recognise a melody.
Suggesting learning a musical instrument to him would be his idea of h ell.

I blame on his parents never playing music when he was young.

or you could buy him a zoom or fisheye lens for his Camera. Make sure it is a USM (Ultra Sonic Motor) lens. Good luck.

Looks interesting. Thanks. Will look closer.
He has an ipad, so a kindle is surplus to requirements.

No! I use my Kindle for reading and my ipad for other things - I find it too heavy for reading, and also you can't read in the sun and the battery life is too short. Everyone needs a Kindle :D

Local colleges often do evening photography classes (sometimes included in photoshop courses, so worthwhile asking about).

Get him one of these. I love mine. It makes my AA Maglite (led bulbed) look like a cracker toy!

Why does he need an SLR if he has an ipad
