We have an email and against our first choice it says place allocated.

Against choice 2 and 3 it says higher preference allocated.

So I think we got first choice, but I've called council to confirm my interpretation, but as the email has come early by mistake, they say we cannot be sure until 4pm, in case another email comes, does this mean at 4pm they could change their mind?

OOCmum my interpretation of that wording is that you have been allocated your first choice so therefore alongside choices two and three it indicates that choice one has been allocated.

They won't/can't change their minds. The alloctions have been in place for ages. They are just saying that because they are not meant to talk about it before 4pm.
