Hi, I would like my son to take the 11+ this year, i.e. next month. Can he sit the exam in Berkshire if so how do I go about this, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Or am I too late to register him?

If you look at the sticky above this thread details can be got from there.
Basically go onto Langley website, goto Admissions sections, and download application form to sit 11+. Fill in and send to grammar of your choice.
They will then advise you when and where your child will sit the test.

Good Luck

Hi Carole,

It is not too late for Slough (Not sure for Reading). Your son can take two exams, one for Slough Grammar, one for the consortium(Langley, Herschel, St Bernard's). You need to ask the schools for application forms, and the deadline is usually the beginning of October.

Thank you Catherine. I don't want to apply for the grammar schools, just want him to sit the test. He is being tutored for entrance into an independent school. Could he still sit the test in this case please?

I suppose that you have to fill the grammar schools forms as if you were really applying, but that you don't have to list them on the LA common application form, but I am not sure..
