Ideas for maths book prize

Does anyone have any suggestions about a book to buy for a school maths prize for a year 8 student? They do not really want a maths book but feel something vaguely related would be appropriate. Is there any maths related fiction out there? It needs to be less than £10.

Thanks for suggestions. Liked the look of the Phantom Tollbooth as it's not too laden with obvious maths plus the wordplay is probably more DD's cup of tea than numbers. Personally I thought Alex's Adventure's in Numberland was brilliant but DD couldn't see the appeal.
