For those who have switched to CEM in recent years...

Post by RedVelvet »

I'm just wondering how much notice you had about the change of exam style?

DS2 is about to start year 5 in Gloucestershire and this years exam is verbal reasoning. As a family we are familiar with this and I think some low key tutoring on question types after Christmas will be fine. However if there is a move to CEM we would have to have a different plan, maybe starting formal tutoring (to help with time keeping and prevent window gazing) a little later.

So how much notice did other areas have?

Thanks.

Pretty sure in Bexley we were told just after Christmas 2012, for new exam in September 2013.
