NVR - Odd one out & similarities
Hi,
My ds is finding the odd one out & similarities(isomorphic relationship) type questions difficult.
Does anyone have any good tips as to how to help him with these?
Many thanks

Re: NVR - Odd one out & similarities
from memory the list I had my dd go through was shapes (example 2 squares and a triangle),number of lines, shading, symmetry, rotation, etc.
So I would go through the question with my dd and verbalise the working method. Can you see any similarities ( in the shapes/shading etc) of the first 2 in the question and do the others have the same similarity ?
If so tick the ones that do and cross the ones that don't etc and then look for more similarities and go through the list (shapes/shading etc).
Once you do this for a few questions they will get the hang of it and then practice..

SPANSS, shape, position, angle, number, size and shading.
It's a general mnemonic to help remember what things to look for in NVR. It might help.
