letter from Bucks Council re prep and transfer test

Post by MamaBear »

Letters should be arriving today for children (not at a Bucks school or partner school) stating when and where the exam will be. I'm glad they have changed it so that all the children do the 11 plus at the same time.

Its getting closer and closer now....

Thank goodness. I will be glad when it is over whatever the result. My poor daughter is so stressed out. I would rather she went to lord Williams than get this stressed, beginning to wish I had never agreed for her to take the test!

Letters will be issued today.

http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/education/sch ... hcvbT8b-QI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
When will my child take the tests?

Invitations for testing were sent on 23 August, first class, for children who had been registered by 18 July. If you registered your child by this point and have not received the invitation by 30 August, please email us at admissions@buckscc.gov.uk to let us know.

It is essential that you read the notes enclosed with your invitation. The notes contain important and helpful information and include details that are specific to the venue that your child has been invited to

Dear You Can Be,

Sorry to hear your daughter is stressed. I too will be glad when it is all over. Even if a child does not get the magic 121 at least all the extra math and literacy prep will be good for them and they will hopefully be in the top sets.
Good luck on your 11 plus journey!

Letters have started arriving today - with some schools @ 9.00 am and other schools 2.00 pm

In my opinion they should all be at the same time.

My letter hasn't come yet. This happened for the familiarisation pack too.
I hope this tardiness doesn't happen in October!

Hi MamaBear

Did you register before 18 July?

County will have posted the letters all at once, it will then be down to the Post Office. Unfortunately with a Bank Holiday you will now have to wait until Tuesday.

I do wonder why they do not just email everyone, quicker, more efficient and cheaper.

Hi Patricia

Yes I registered before the 18th, I live in Bucks (catchment area for RGS and JHGS) but my son doesn't go to a Bucks school.

I guess I will have to wait until Tuesday!

Thanks
