Exam format
Hi All,
Does anyone know if it is NV or Verbal first?
Also, is the exam split into sections?
ie, exam split into sections, each section completed within a set time before going onto the next one.
I believe it is Verbal reasoning (90 questions in 50 minutes) and
Non-verbal reasoning tests (75 questions in 39 minutes).

Hi the letter isn't clear, but it mentions NVR first then VR .
AFAIK NVR is split into non-returnable sections HTH.

I always thought they would do VR before NVR.

It does not say anywhere on the letter I have received. I always thought that VR comes before NVR. I am sure it always has, with a 15 minute break in between

Non-verbal reasoning is split into separately timed sections. Instead of doing the whole exam paper in one go, each section will be timed individually. So for example they may have 5 minutes on section 1, 10 minutes on section 2 and so on. This means any work that they do on a particular section has to be completed within the given time. When they move onto another next section, they cannot go back to other sections.

Re: Exam format
Sadly it means that if you are good at one type of NVR you cannot use the time gained to help you solve other types you might find it harder. You finish one section and then cannot go back to a previous section or forward to the next section. This means you cannot really afford to be weak in more than a couple of types. DG

But do the questions get harder within each section, with the harder questions as the last couple of them. If so, that at least allows a strategy
