How should I teach this type of question please?
5[a+1]+2[a-3]

expand it and then simplify.
5[a+1]+2[a-3]
= 5a + 5 + 2a - 6
= 7a - 1
5[a+1]+2[a-3]
= 5a + 5 + 2a - 6
= 7a - 1
