Galore Park History/ geography etc books

Post by Azure »

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between "So You Really Want to Learn" history or geography or maths etc and the Junior History/ geography/ maths etc books? They both say they're aimed at the various year groups for ks2, so I wondered what the difference was ... and which ones I should buy. I'm home educating my DC.

Thank you.

Junior History starts at the beginning, and SYRWTL History carries on from where Junior book 3 gets to. I assume the questions get a bit more demanding.

I've not used Junior Geography, but SYRWTL Geography is just straightforward ks3 work.

Haven't used the maths books, but as far as I know, junior follows ks2 and syrwtl follows ks3.

GP generally say SYRWTL starts at y6, but they are assumed at independent schools, and I would say they are y7 national curriculum.

How old are your dc?

Actually I've just looked at the geography books and they don't look suitable. Can anyone recommend geography books for KS2?
