KES pass mark

Post by equation »

Can anyone give us an idea whether the pass mark is likely to go up or down for the 2014 intake?
Thanks

I would imagine it will be fairly similar to this year although may rise by a couple of marks due to slightly more people sitting this year. Of course you never know where first choice preferences will be although historically KES is more popular then AGS as it is easier to access on public transport.

My guess would be up by one or two marks - slightly bigger cohort this year (tbc whether that's county wide or more one side than the other) and probably after last year when I get the impression the scores on the numerical reasoning ended up quite compressed, they'll have set it to differentiate a bit more on the numerical reasoning score this time which might push the AQS up marginally. I'd expect it to still be in the mid 330's though.

It's not a "pass mark" though, but a qualifying score. Some areas do have a set pass mark (Kent, Bucks, etc) but that isn't the case in Warwickshire.
