2013 nonsuch result day? 14-Oct or 21-Oct

Post by sys4cad »

It is posted in nonsuch school website as 14-OCT-2013
( please refer http://www.nonsuch.co.uk/admissions/KeyDates%202014.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

but I've noticed it as "week beginning of 21-OCT-2013" in the admission card.

I'm a bit confused about this.
Does that mean school will announce the result via web on 14-OCT
then will post it on21-OCT?

Does anyone know more precisely?

Thanks in advance.

I am wondering about the significance of the 25th?
I thought the CAF deadline was the 31st (or do schools send results prior to the 25th to enable parents to chase up any not received?)

In any case, the 21st seems to be cutting it a bit fine! I wonder if the councils get a flurry of last minute applicantions each year as a result?

If they really feel the need to speak to their current independent school or the state grammar, then perhaps that would be a good reason to stay at home for once.

Ah, don't take it seriously. Enjoy the holidays. Not much to fill in CAF. Hopefully, you would have already decided about your preferences.

As about 90% of parents do application online the 31st is the deadline, but if you want to do paper application and hand it in to your primary for them to pass it on to admissions have to do it before half term.

In reality most open days are over by second week of October so should have worked out the order of your (upto) 6 choices. The first round test results are effectively a pass/fail for decision making in the sence a fail means not worth including on CAF as you wont get in, so drop that school, move everything else up a place and add another.

Remember it may be sensible to include a banker that you can get into as 6th choice (even if you would prefer to go elsewhere) as unfortunatly many don't get offered any of their 6 choices and end up with some undersubscribed school that not enough people chose even if its not close, or you never listed it
