Question for last year's Kendrick parents

Post by Complete Novice »

Just wondered whether, when you are given your standardised score on 22nd October, they reveal how many actually turned up and sat the test. I know that you were all made aware that it was 651, but was it at this stage or 1st March?

Thank you

It was once we'd all received our results and started posting scores that some of the clever ones managed to roughly work out cutoff scores. If you've read through any of my previous postings you'll see why I think there was virtually zero movement last year. I still think that's going to be the case moving forward.

Anyway, I sincerely hope it all works out for you and Dd.

Link at end of Duffers guide to help work out likelyihood but based on 807 I reckon 118 needed to get into top 96 this year.

Apparently there were about 120 ooc - so that should bring it down a mark or two?

Hope your dd came out satisfied CN.

Sonasona & Tinkers, whilst your posts are wonderfully helpful,
I'm sure that some of them would also scare me to pieces, if I was one of the stressed
out parents, reading this forum. :(

I thought one came onto the forum hoping to hear and learn from other's experiences.

I remember you knocking me for 6 when I posted about Kendrick places last year :( Reality is things have changed on the 11+ scene and we see how it is. There is a lot more awareness now, tutors springing out everywhere and more desire to fight for those 96 places.

Bye from me, it's been good whilst its lasted. Hope it works out for you all sitting this year :)

I don't believe that there is any more 'desire to fight for those 96 places', than there has been in previous years.
I agree that there is more awareness about the tests, and will as the years go on.

I would however ask that a bit more tact be used in posts on this open forum.
