Still, I guess they're looking to test stamina and mettle as well as intelligence
I think this situation is due to short time in which all schools have to conduct their tests and is aggravated by children sitting for too many schools' tests.

If a child was taking just 2 schools test, this testing of stamina and mettle might not happen.
However, we all understand why a child has to take a number of tests.

Well.. we had Olave's on Friday, Kent on Sat and Bexley on following Tuesday. So it cannot be worse than that. I wish if these schools were more aligned together, that would have made life a bit easier for dc. This is in specific relation to Sutton & co where one may have to appear in three different exams for the 2nd round.

I do think that 10 is too early an age for a large glass of wine ;)

Sometimes it is easy to forget who is sitting these exams!

Trust me, I would far rather sit the test than be responsible for getting there on time, finding a parking space, with the correct email, pencil case etc!

Ds is far less stressed than me.

I am going through this process again with DS2. He is in the Wilson's exam as I type! Really wish there wasn't such a long gap until our next test at Sutton Grammar as we have all had enough! Much better to get them all over & done with in a short space of time I think. All the best to all your DSs today. Hope you survive the traffic on the way home from the test!
