CCHSG scores on the doors
Thought it was worth starting a thread specifically dealing with places at CCHSG.
English 37/50
Maths 22/40
VR 64/80
Raw score 350.842
Not sure if this will get us in

Re: CCHSG scores on the doors
To which school are you referring? Just want to avoid confusion...
Re: CCHSG scores on the doors
Glad you asked - not sure if im getting colchester and chelmsford confused with all these initials!
Re: CCHSG scores on the doors
CCHSG must be Colchester County High School for Girls! Their web address is http://www.cchsg.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
CCHS is Chelmsford County High School for Girls.

DD's score finally arrived
English Score 34/50
Mathematics Score 29/40
Verbal Reasoning Score 62/80
overall, standardised, weighted score of: 352.673
Will she be ok for Colchester girls? O/c for westcliff and southend.

Yes from past scores, you are okay for all 3.

English Score 31/50
Mathematics Score 30/40
Verbal Reasoning Score 54/80
These three results are adjusted to take account of any variations in the difficulty of different papers each year and combined to produce your child’s overall, standardised, weighted score of: 337.637
Fingers crossed

Re: CCHSG scores on the doors
Our first choice is CCHSG, followed by the local comprehensive, which is the only other realistic option for us.
My daughter scored as follows
Maths 24/40 (She didn't finish the exam)
English 28/50
VR 58/80
OSS 330.310
We are right on the very edge of the yellow zone, so we assume that we will have a nervous wait until March.
1. Anyone have any idea if the number of pupils sitting was higher this year?
2. I know intake at the school is higher in 2014? Will this mean a slight lowering of the target score?
3. What are parents thoughts on the difficulty of the exam this year, having spoken with their kids? Or is that already factored into the OSS score?
Would appreciate any ideas or opinions.
