Transport from Ealing to Slough

Post by Ealingma »

Hello everyone, this is my first post! DD is eligible for a place at St Bernard's Catholic Grammar. We live in Ealing just North of the Broadway (Pitshanger).

We are very keen to hear about anyone hoping to go to any of the Slough grammar schools from Ealing. Or who already has a dc doing the journey.

Or anyone who might be interested in possible minibus.

Many thanks,

Ealingma

Wouldn't train from Ealing Broadway to Slough be more convenient?

Thanks tiffinboys,

Yes that's what will mostly likely go for. Would just like to find someone else so they can travel together.

Also there is a minibus from south ealing and possibility of same company running one from north ealing if enough people. I would feel happier knowing she was on a private bus.

Our secondary-age DC only travel a few miles to school, but I would always prefer public transport over a private service for the flexibility when it comes to after-school sports / homework clubs etc (or even just a spot of mooching around the cafes and emporia of downtown Slough at the end of the day? 8) ). Ours have rail season tickets, which DS1 in particular uses to meet up with friends at the weekend.

I suppose one issue would be how long the walk is to / from the station at either end?

Hi there,

Our DD got a place at St Bernards Grammar and I would like to find a coach from Ealing area. We live in Perivale, I know there is a bus from Ruislip Rugby Club but that is quite far.

Someone told me there are coaches to Upton Court but I could not find any information about that.

Langley Grammar has a link on their website re car share but it is still 25 minutes walk to St Bernard's.

Any suggestions?

many thanks,

Hi mariela,
My dd also has a place at st bernards. We are in ealing and I would be interested in talking about possible transport options.

Do pm me or reply here.

Well done to your dd. mine is feeling a bit shaky about having no local friends so it would be lovely to touch base.

Best,

Ealing a
