mapping VR question types

Post by amnash »

Hi all,, I have seen useful info on cross referencing Susan Daughtrey and IPS in this forum. I would like to ask does anyone here mapped Susan's 35 types with GL and/or with the AE verbal reasoning books 1 and 2? thank you

Thanks Y, yes I have seen this before, very useful. However, as we are planning for Kendrick I am interested on cross refrencing for Susane Daughtery, GL and AE

If I am understanding correctly, there are a lot of materials which use the same 21 types as GL assessment but in various different guises.

If one was looking for some types beyond these 21 we could add the kind of thing which crops up in CEM papers that is mentioned in various threads on here.

If Daughtrey has 35 types does this mean that she has approx 14 types which GL does not have - or are they all just variations on a theme?

Where else might you look for things different to the GL 21 types which still could be called "verbal reasoning"?

The Daughtrey books (set of 4) have additional question types as do Bond (26 in total I think) - so for example if you were based in Redbridge - you could use these books to supplement learning looking at relevant questions only, I'm sure at least one other publisher does this - when I remember I'll get back to you!
