St. Ambrose Results.
Just wondering how your DS's got on this year. Any idea how many took the exam this year? I hear the passmark was raised to 80%.
Good luck to all your DS, whatever the outcome!

Hi Pumpkin
My DS did the exam last year but I had heard the exam had got harder this year, I know of a couple of boys that sat it and just 1 passed.
Do you know what the pass mark was last year? I will probably not sit my younger son for the exam as we are not RC so I don't think DS2 would stand a chance of getting in, even if he did pass!

Re: St. Ambrose Results.
The pass mark was 334 - My DS scored 364 and the exam was scored out of 400.
This exam was his best results from AGSB, Sale and here - AGSB passed by 8pts, Sale by 28 and here by 30pts (if this helps).
He said that he found this exam quite easy compared to the others, and the general feeling from a group of boys was that it was easier than AGSB and Sale.
Hope this helps?

Re: St. Ambrose Results.
It has gone up then as the pass mark was 315 last year.

I might have that wrong - let me double check as I wouldn't want to give you a false indication!GailJ wrote:It has gone up then as the pass mark was 315 last year.

Required Pass score was 320 - he scored 358............Apologies for the mix up but I have just rang home and double checked from his letter.
So the pass rate was set at 80%
I had mixed his Sale score up in all the confusion and stress lol
Re: St. Ambrose Results.
I'm sorry but where does 80% come from?

I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense to me. 80% of what?
Re: St. Ambrose Results.
pass mark is 320 out of 400. That's where 80% comes from.
