London hotels,which?

Post by Yamin151 »

Which would you choose, the Taj suites, Browns or the Mayfair? Not for me I hasten to add, but these people are going for a large suite and want to know which people would choose, oh for the choice, but hey, I live vicariously through my lovely friends choices, and I may get to pop in and say hello (only if I leave my primark with the doorman!)
Anyone?

I'd choose the Mayfair.

On the basis that its the most expensive place on the Monopoly board so it must be good... :D

No personal experience of any of these (although I have to admit that the last hotel of any description I stayed in was the Birmingham Hilton - for a conference not a vacation  ), but Brown's is very convenient for the Royal Institution. Oh, and for a few little shops, I suppose...

Can't comment on the other 2, but won a night in the Mayfair and took it few weeks back, very comfortable beds, large bathrooms with separate walk in shower, even a TV in the Bathroom, Breakfast was great as well. If interested a door in the lobby connects to the Palm Beach Casino. I liked it so much, I would consider paying for it next time I want to stay in London.

How funny, they are from Palm Beach anyway!

Thanks all, they booked a 5 bedroom suite at the Taj Suites. Oh man, how the other half live! Nice people though, and I bet they'll have a mammoth fun time, just hope I get to see a bit too (can anyone lend me their Oyster card??)

Blimey.
I have to stay in London every week (2 nights this week, sigh) and only graduate from the Travelodge if there is some kind of deal on at the Holiday Inn. Perhaps your friends will let me doss down in one of their 5 rooms while they're at the casino. :D
